Brighton & Hove Recovery College’s Summer term – coming soon!

Posted on 29 April 2022

Brighton and Hove Recovery College, offer educational courses as a route to recovery from mental health challenges. All their courses are FREE and designed and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health challenges, together with clinical staff and other professionals.

The College is provided in partnership with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and as part of the Community Roots network of mental health support.

With the lifting of all Covid-19 restrictions, the Summer term (running 23rd May – 29th July 2022), will offer more opportunities to attend courses and workshops in person. The College realise that being able to attend sessions online has attracted new students, enabling people to attend who previously would have been unable to do so. They are mindful that not everyone may feel ready, or be able to return to the classroom, so they are also continuing to offer a range of courses and workshops online via Zoom.

For the first time since the pandemic, they will be holding an Open Day event on 5th May, which is a great opportunity for students to talk to trainers about the College as well as register your interest for courses and workshops. There will be ‘Buddies’ (people with experience of mental health challenges) on hand to provide support as needed.

To help any students who may be feeling apprehensive about returning to the classroom, they will also be offering two new Welcome Sessions this term (on the 24th and 26th May), as an opportunity to visit the College prior to starting a course.

The College team look forward to welcoming new and returning students.
