Annual Report for Tenants
Every year, we produce a report for our tenants highlighting what we have done in our role as a landlord over the past 12 months.
You can download 2019-2020's report below, as well as an easy-read version.
In the report, Jim Aspdin, our Director of Housing, says:
"Looking back over the past 12 months, it’s hard to remember life before the coronavirus pandemic took hold across the world. Whilst everything has changed since then, there are positive achievements to reflect on too.
I’m immensely proud of the day-to-day support my colleagues, across our Housing Management and Property Services teams, have provided to our 618 tenants across Sussex. From ensuring repairs and property maintenance are carried out promptly to support to manage money matters and address issues such as hoarding, the team have been there.
I’m also proud of our tenants. They have worked with us to keep our staff, contractors and their neighbours safe.
Hearing feedback from tenants on how having a safe home and the right support has enabled them to overcome challenges in their life to be happier, healthier and more independent is really inspiring. It is also a powerful reminder of why Southdown exists and our purpose; to offer people the support they need – regardless of their experience, background or challenges.
As a supported housing provider, our primary aim is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our tenants. Over the coming months, we will continue to track developments of the Coronavirus and any potential local lockdowns across Sussex, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our tenants safe."
