Wellbeing Centres (East Sussex Community Network)

Hide on full page view?:
Our seven Wellbeing Centres, located across East Sussex, provide a range of community-based mental health and wellbeing support to enable you to get well, stay well and prevent crisis.

The Centres are part of a network of mental health recovery support, called the East Sussex Community Network (for more information download the leaflet below - translated versions are also available below).

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

During these uncertain times we would like to reassure you that we are still operating and are here to support you.

“During these unprecedented and rapidly changing times, the health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and wider local communities, is at the very forefront of our plans to respond to the coronavirus public health major incident.” - Neil Blanchard, Chief Executive

We will be adhering to the social distancing advice set out by the Government. This means that we will be offering telephone support rather than face-to-face support until further notice.

If you are a current client of this service, your worker will be in touch with you by telephone in the next few days.

In the meantime, if you have any urgent questions about your support, or have a new enquiry about our service, please contact us via phone or email using the contact details at the bottom of this page for each Centre.

Please visit the NHS website for the latest advice on what to do if you think you might be infected or at risk, and how you can prevent the spread of coronavirus.

We would like to wish you and your family well and we will update this page when our telephone support model changes.

What support is available?

Our team of friendly Recovery Workers will work with you to develop a personalised wellbeing plan and support you to access activities and groups at the Centres and in your local community.

Peer Specialists (people with lived experience of mental health challenges) are also available to provide a listening ear and support.  You can read more about our Peer Support Service on our website here.

In addition, out-of-hours mental health support is available at the Hastings and St Leonards Wellbeing Centre, through our Staying Well Space service.

"When I visited, I was struck by the commitment, warmth and experience of the team and its warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere."

"As well as being a place that can support your mental wellbeing, it is a rescue place for people in distress."

Timetables of groups and activities available at each Wellbeing Centre are available to download below.

Am I eligible?

The service is available for adults (aged 16 +) living in East Sussex who are experiencing issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing.

How do I apply?

We accept self-referrals and referrals from health professionals. Contact us on the details below for more information and to request a referral form. Alternatively, pop in to see us at your local Centre.
