Christmas Carol Concert 2019
Southdown's Learning Disability Division celebrated the festive season with the latest fun and uplifting instalment of its annual Christmas Carol Concert for clients of our services across Sussex.
Around 100 members of the services gathered at the Charmandean Centre in Worthing, where glowsticks and mince pies were given out before live performances of popular favourites on guitar, piano, drums and trumpets.
The event, which has been running for many years and is always popular, featured performances from client music groups and expert signed accompaniment to the songs by Sarah Pryce, from the Southdown Training team.
People from across Sussex introduced themselves for the first time, caught up with each other and shared stories, often wearing fancy dress. Prizes were distributed for best staff and client outfits and hats and best decorated wheelchair
The afternoon ended in serene style with a mass rendition of Silent Night – a fiting conclusion to another successful year for one of the highlights of the year for Southdown staff and clients.
