Over 220 people attend our Brighton and Hove Recovery Services’ Open Day
Last week, over 220 people came along to our Brighton and Hove Recovery Services’ Open Day event at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton.
Colleagues, peer trainers and buddies from our Recovery College launched the College’s autumn term, and we had a record-number of people applying for courses there and then. The team at our Recovery Centre were also on hand to discuss and promote the courses, groups and support they provide. Elaine said, “The day went really well. Everybody worked together to support those attending to feel welcome. It was a really welcoming atmosphere and great to see how considered prospective students were when choosing courses that would benefit them the most."
She added, “Although we are likely to be booked up on courses from the Open Day we are still taking registrations and will do our best to allocate courses to people where we can. For example, prioritise people in the next term or offer places when others can’t attend.”
Beth said, “The team and I from Preston Park Recovery Centre always look forward to the Open Day event with the Recovery College. It is a fantastic event, with a huge buzz around new opportunities for learning and connecting with others. It was great this year to see so many new peer buddies supporting people on the day, creating a really warm and encouraging environment for prospective students and clients."
