Southdown training awarded BILD ACT Certification
Our Positive Behaviour Support training and Restrictive Physical Interventions Training for our Learning Disability Support Services has been formally certified by the British Institute of Learning Disability Association of Certified Training (BILD ACT) as meeting the new Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) standards.
Previously accredited by BILD’s PITAS scheme, which was decommissioned in December 2019, the courses have been recently reviewed and awarded the updated mark of best practice.
Anita Beverton, Regional Manager for our West Sussex Learning Disability Support Services, says, "We are delighted that, following a rigorous certification process, our training meets the RRN standards and this will ensure that best practice is achieved across our services.
"We are now recognised nationally as an organisation that is able to train to the RRN standards around restrictive physical interventions.
"Thank you to all colleagues who worked hard to ensure we met the necessary requirements."
