Rent and payments

Paying your rent

When your tenancy started, you should have received a rent payment card and information about how to use it. You can also pay your rent by direct debit or standing order.

If you are unsure which payment method to use or need help setting one up, contact your Housing Officer.

Rent statements and balances

We send you a rent statement four times a year. Your statement shows payments made to your rent account and any balance that is due.

You can ask for your current balance or request another statement at any time. Contact your Housing Officer if you would like help understanding the information on your statement.

Changes to rent and service charges

We review rent and service charges each year. Changes usually take effect in early April and we will give you at least four weeks’ notice.

If Universal Credit helps with your housing costs, you will need to report your new rent amount to Universal Credit each April. Tell us if you need support to do this.
