Debbie joined Southdown in 2008 as a Support Worker and then Senior Support Worker. In 2012 Debbie became one of the first members of the newly created Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Team providing support to clients and staff across all our Learning Disability Services.

Debbie has 30 years of experience of working with people with learning disabilities, in both adult and children’s settings.

She says, “I have always had an interest in why people behave in certain ways, asking myself what are they trying to tell me and how can I help them to be heard and live the life that they wish. This is what we are always striving to achieve through working collaboratively with clients, staff teams, families and other professionals through the implementation of PBS to improve quality of life for everyone.”
