Jo became our Director of People and Culture in October 2021 after joining Southdown earlier in the year to put in place a Management Development Programme.

Jo brings substantial experience in developing HR strategy and talent management to Southdown and has previously worked in a senior role reporting to the Board for the John Lewis Partnership, leading on culture, engagement and organisational effectiveness.

At Southdown, working alongside senior colleagues, Jo leads on employee relations, HR services, organisational development, learning and talent management, diversity and inclusion, communications, quality and performance, and people related Health and Safety.

She says, “I’m excited about having the chance to make a meaningful difference for everyone in Southdown. There are wonderful synergies between helping clients achieve fuller lives and doing the same for colleagues across Southdown. I believe if we look after each other we can do something extraordinary for our clients.”
