Rah Bray

Title: Head of Mental Health and Housing Support, and Safeguarding Lead

Rah joined Southdown in 2002 as a Tenancy Support Officer and over the past 23 years has progressed through frontline and management roles into their current senior management role, Head of Mental Health and Housing Support. Rah is also Southdown’s Safeguarding Lead alongside Anita Beverton.

Starting out as a volunteer, Rah has provided services for over 29 years, to children and adults facing a wide range of challenges, including people with learning disabilities, with mental health challenges, struggling with substance use, and experiencing homelessness.

Rah says, “I am passionate about using my lived experience to connect to what really matters to people. I love building partnerships and developing services with people, so they genuinely work for them“.
