About the service
Southdown’s Preston Park Recovery Centre (part of the Community Roots network) provides a welcoming and supportive environment in which people with mental health support needs can learn new skills and get involved in a variety of groups and activities.
The Centre also provides access to a specialist employment service, a welfare benefits service and can refer onto other services as appropriate such as housing and health.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are adhering to the social distancing advice set out by the Government and therefore Preston Park Recovery Centre is currently closed to our clients. We know that this can be an unsettling time and we want to assure you that our team will be offering telephone support to our clients to ensure that they still receive a service, as well as new online activities detailed here.

What to expect
After referral to the centre, trained staff can help you develop your own personal Recovery Action Plan and support you to achieve the goals you set yourself.
There is a café, free internet access and an art room, which is open seven days a week including some evenings.
The Centre is also a great place to meet friends or get to know new people.
