Our strategy 2025-30
Southdown’s new five-year strategy sets out a bold vision for the future: to expand our reach so that thousands more people across Sussex can feel safe, stay well, and live the lives they choose.
Grounded in over 50 years of experience and shaped by the voices of colleagues, clients and partners, the strategy responds directly to the challenges facing our communities — from the housing crisis and rising mental health needs, to fragmented systems and growing inequalities.
At its heart are four strategic aims:
- Breaking down silos – making support seamless across housing, health and care
- Expanding housing access – creating more safe, secure homes as the foundation for stability
- Enabling independence and meaningful purpose – opening up opportunities for work, volunteering and connection
- Creating financial flexibility and resilience – building strong foundations to protect and grow services for the future
Together, these aims will help us design support around people’s lives, not services, ensuring no one is left behind.

Tenants’ Annual Report
Every year, we produce a report for our tenants (including an easy-read version – see downloads section) highlighting what we have done in our role as a landlord over the past 12 months. It is important to us that our tenants, as well as other stakeholders, can access information to review our performance to provide safe and secure homes, and involve our tenants to shape what we do.
