Join us for a garden party at our Bradbury Court learning disability support service

This June, clients and staff at our learning disability support service, Bradbury Court, are inviting friends, families, and everyone to join them for a very special afternoon.

On Saturday 14 June, from 2pm to 4pm, the service will be hosting a Garden Party – a joyful event that brings people together to celebrate community, creativity, and the achievements of the individuals we support.

Avril, Service Manager at Bradbury Court, shares more about the event:

“It’s so important for our clients to feel part of a community, to be accepted and understood. That’s why we hold two big events a year that bring people together and showcase the talents and creativity of the people we support.”

Bradbury Court is a vibrant and welcoming service, where clients and support workers work side by side to prepare for events like the Garden Party. In the lead-up to the day, there’s a hive of activity: crafting, baking, collecting donations, and rallying volunteers, often with brilliant support from families and friends.

Visitors to the event can expect a warm welcome, homemade cakes, handmade crafts for sale, and maybe even a few surprise appearances from some of the neighbouring farm animals. Funds raised on the day will go directly towards items that enhance clients’ daily lives, from art materials to sensory room equipment and garden furniture.

“Whatever you spend or donate, it goes straight back to our clients. And we’re so grateful for your support,” adds Avril.

Our clients will be on hand with their support workers to help throughout the party so if you’re in the area, come along and say hello. Bradbury Court would love to meet you!
